Ojaja University Sets For Maiden Convocation Ceremony
Arrangements have been concluded for the maiden and combined Convocation ceremony of Ojaja University, llorin, Kwara State.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Jeleel Olasunkanmi Ojuade, who gave the hint at a Press Briefing in llorin, said that the ceremony would hold between Tuesday 8th and Saturday 12th October 2024.
According to Professor Jeleel Ojuade, the Convocation is for graduates of 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic sessions.
The event which started with Press Briefing has witnessed football match between the school and the Al-Hikmah university at the Ojaja University Sports Ground.
Other activities slated for the maiden event include cultural activities at the university auditorium on Friday 11th, October at 11am to be followed by the Convocation rehearsal by graduates and staff members at 3pm.
The Vice Chancellor noted that the Convocation lecture to be delivered by the Soun of Ogbomoso Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye would hold on the grand finale, Saturday 12th, October at 10am.
Other events for the grand finale include Awards of Degrees and the Convocation luncheon at the Kwara State Banquet Hall llorin.
Professor Jeleel Olasunkanmi Ojuade, however, noted that the event would parade the presence of major first class traditional rules from across the country, business moguls, leader of thought politicians, top government officials, and other well meaning individuals.
