Eminent personalities, Islamic Clerics Extol Virtus Of Late Sarkin Gobir Of Ilorin Emirate
Late Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Chairman, Board of Ilorin Aviation College, Captain Muhammad Ahmad Yusuf-Gobir has been described as a complete man of God who impacted the lives of many common citizens.
This was the submission of various speakers at the Fidau prayer for the repose of the soul of the late Sarkin Gobiri held at the Gobir family compound Ilorin.
The Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr Mohammed Bashir Salihu, who led the Fidau, prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family as well as his closest friend the Governor of Kwara State the fortitude to bear the loss.
In a brief lecture, a renowned Islamic Scholar in Ilorin, Sheikh Dan Borno, admonished Muslims to always prepare for death with good deeds, as death is inevitable and everyone shall account for their deeds.
Sheikh Dan Borno described late Sarkin Gobir as a selfless leader whose contributions to the development of Gobir family, Ilorin Emirate and Nigeria as a whole would not be forgotten.
The Fidau prayer was attended by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ambassador Akeem Baba-Ahmed, Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr Yakub Salihu Danladi, Majority Leader of the House, Abdulkadir Oba Magaji among other dignitaries.
The event featured recitation of the glorious Quran and special prayer session.
