As the Muslim Ummah begins this year’s edition of the annual Ramadan fast today, the leadership of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has concluded arrangements to hold a consultative meeting with Islamic preachers, voluntary Muslim organisations and media executives operating within and around Ilorin.
A statement signed by the IEDPU National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, said that the meeting is scheduled for today, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at IEDPU Secretariat, Geri Alimi, Ilorin.
Mallam Nurudeen explained that the meeting is targeted at discussing issues concerning the peace and progress of Ilorin.
While he explained that invitation letters have been extended to all the identified participants, Mallam Ibrahim enjoined concerned individuals and organisations who are yet to receive their invitation letters to endeavour to attend as well.
The statement wished the people of Ilorin Emirate and the generality of Muslims across the world a very peaceful and rewarding Ramadan fast.
