The Idofian-Igbaja road in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has been reopened for use following an eighty percent grading and expansion.

The road will serve as a direct link between Idofian and Igbaja and connect some other communities in the council area including Igbo-owu, Moloko, Layaju and Apata.

The reopening of the Idofian – Igbaja road was announced by the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf.

Alhaji Yusuf said the project which is fulfilment of one of his campaign promises, would eliminate bottlenecks in navigating communities within the local government and make transportation efficient.

He described the project as a step towards economic growth, improved security, and enhanced road connectivity within the local government.

The chairman expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahaman Abdulrazaq for his support in driving progressive initiatives and ensuring development across local government areas in Kwara.

He also announced the commencement of full repairs of seven dilapidated hand-pump boreholes in Igbaja, thereby restoring access to potable water for residents.

Alhaji Yusuf reassured all wards in Ifelodun Local Government that their community needs would be addressed in due time, as more projects have been set for implementation.
