…signs 2025 Appropriation Bill into Law

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has inaugurated new council members and appointed Mrs. Kolo Rebecca as the first female Supervisory Councillor for Works and Infrastructure in the history of the local government.
At the swearing-in ceremony in Shaare, Hadji Femi Yusuf also named Dr. Akorede Kamil Abiodun as Secretary to the Local Government; Mrs Nike Ajibola as the Supervisory Councillor for Finance; Mrs. Taiye Johnson Folashade as the Supervisory Councillor for Education; and Mr Michael Taiwo Babatunde as the Supervisory Councillor for Health.
In furtherance of effective governance, the Chairman also presented letters of appointment to eighteen Technical Assistants and Special Assistants with various portfolios.

Akeem Olayinka Nurudeen was appointed to handle Revenue and Taxation Mobilization; Rasheed Shuaib was assigned to Health and Medical Services; Kamaldeen Omotunde Isare to Land Matters; Rasheed Owolabi to Agriculture and Natural Resources; Akano Babatunde to Works and Infrastructure; Prince Yinka Aliu to Education and Social Development; while Alhaja Nike Ayilara was appointed as Special Assistant on Women Mobilization and Empowerment.
Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed council members, Dr. Akorede Kamil expressed gratitude to the Hadji Femi Yusuf for finding them worthy of the appointments and also appreciated the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment to grassroots development and assured him of the Council’s support towards realization of his transformative agenda.
The APC Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Mr Abubakar Lukman, commended the Chairman for considering loyal grassroots party members in the formation of both the council and support appointments, describing the gesture as a demonstration of purposeful and inclusive leadership.

Earlier, the Ifelodun Local Government Chairman signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law.
The bill, which captures inclusive development across all sectors, allocates a total of Nine Billion, One Hundred and Ninety-Eight Million, Four Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixty-Four Naira for the fiscal operations of the Council.
Stakeholders present at the event were former Chairmen of Ifelodun Local Government, Baba Kosalamala; Abdulfatai Garuba Labaka; Akani Abdulraheem, Former House of Assembly member; Chief M.T. Lawal, the Asiwaju of Shaare Land; Chief I.B. Lawal, Ajibola of Babaloma as well as traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other dignitaries.
