Kwara State government in collaboration with Agro Climatic Resilience Semi-Arid Landscape (ACRESAL), has inaugurated five new trucks equipped with seventy roll-on/roll-off bins for the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
At the inauguration ceremony in Ilorin, the State Commissioner for the Ministry, Hajia Nafisat Musa-Buge, explained that the newly acquired trucks would significantly enhance the Ministry’s capacity to maintain a clean and green environment across Kwara State.

She further revealed that the trucks were procured through the ACRESAL project, initiated by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, specifically for the Ministry of Environment.
Hajia Buge emphasized that the new trucks would help uphold the state’s environmental colours—green, white, and brown—symbolizing the commitment to ecological sustainability.

The Commissioner urged people of the State to utilize the facilities responsibly and avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse on road medians and waterways to support the state’s environmental cleanliness efforts.
The seventy roll-on/roll-off bins will be strategically distributed throughout the state to ensure easy access and encourage proper waste disposal by residents.
