The Chairman, Governing Council of Kwara State University (KWASU) and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for what he described as impactful governance that has brought remarkable development to the education and health sectors.

Prof. Ambali gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital in preparation for the final accreditation of the university’s Medical School and the commencement of clinical training for its medical students.

He particularly praised the transformation of the General Hospital into a Teaching Hospital, describing the move as a milestone that will not only strengthen medical education but also enhance healthcare delivery in the state.

In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Bola Ahmed, expressed appreciation to the state government for its investment in critical medical equipment, noting that the intervention would boost healthcare services and position Kwara as a hub for quality medical training.

The Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Sheikh Luqman Jimoh, and other top officials of the university were also part of the delegation.
