Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has restated his administration’s commitment to the security of lives and property across the state.

He said the government would continue to work closely with security agencies and community leaders to strengthen peace and protect residents.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who gave the assurance during a visit to Babanla Community in Ifelodun Local Government over security threat in the area, assured that all necessary support would be provided to ensure a safer and more secure Kwara.

The Governor was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Adekimi Ojo; Commander 22 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General Ezra Barkins; his Senior Special Assistant on Security, Alhaji Aliyu Muyideen and the Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Mr Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq gave the assurance that his administration would continue to work closely with security agencies to ensure peace and stability across the state.

The Arojojoye II of Babanla, Oba Adegboyega Alabi Yusuf, who received the Governor, commended him for his prompt intervention in addressing issues affecting the community, particularly in the area of security and infrastructural development.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, and Brigadier General Ezra Barkins both stressed the importance of community cooperation with security agencies, noting that intelligence sharing from residents would greatly enhance their operations in combating crime.

Stakeholders in the community described the visit as a demonstration of the government’s proactive approach to security management and community engagement.

According to them, the visit would reinforce confidence among the people of Babanla and its environs.
