FRSC Deploys 950 Personnel For Christmas, New Year Celebrations In Kwara State.

Nine hundred and fifty personnel and special Marshall as well as equipment have been deployed by Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, across Kwara State to ensure hitch free Christmas and New year celebrations.

According to the FRSC Public Education Officer, Kwara State Command, Basambo Busari, the personnel includes three hundred and fifty Special Marshals, and one hundred and twenty First responders.

While equipment to be used during the period comprises Sixteen patrol vehicles, two power bikes, Four Ambulances, Four Private tow trucks and a Seventy tonnes Tow-truck to monitor all roads.

Basambo Busari pointed out that the personnel would ensure traffic control at strategic locations within Ilorin metropolis and major cities in the state during the Christmas and New year.

The special patrol tagged “Operation Zero Tolerance for Road Traffic Crash, is billed to last for 30 days from December 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025.

The FRSC urges motorists to abide by traffic rules and regulations, avoid dangerous driving, excessive speeding, overloading, and use of phone while driving.

He added that the Command is engaging in public enlightenment campaigns and mega rallies in all interstate motor parks, market places, churches and mosques to sensitize the motoring public in the State.
