The Victim
An 85-year-old man, Ibrahim Haruna, is in custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Nasarawa State for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl, Aisha Ibrahim.
According to Radio Nigeria report, the incident occurred in the first week of January in Kongo community, Keffi Local Government Council when the victim’s elder sister reportedly raised the alarm after noticing the girl walking with discomfort and blood dripping from her legs.
The suspect
The spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Command of the NSCDC, Mr Jerry Victor, explained that the suspect lured the girl into his room and committed the act with a medical test confirming the defilement.
Obtained medical report
However, the suspect denied the allegation, claiming it was a frame-up.
Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State Command of the NSCDC says the case will be handed over to the state Ministry of Justice for speedy trial.
