Kwara State Polytechnic Staff Receive Salary Increase and Free Medical Screening

In a move to alleviate the economic challenges faced by staff members, the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, has approved a substantial salary increase for all staff.

A statement issued by Public Relations Officer, Hajia Halimat Garba indicates that the development is part of the institution’s broader welfare package, aimed at supporting employees financially and physically.

The salary increase, which takes effect immediately, is expected to provide much-needed relief to staff members struggling with rising living costs and inflation.

According to the statement, the Rector also initiated free medical screening for all staff, promoting early detection and prevention of health issues.

Coordinator of the Polytechnic Medical Services, Dr. Rukayyah Uthman explained that regular screenings and access to specialized clinics could dramatically improve wellbeing.

The initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to make life more bearable for residents of Kwara State.

A dedicated diabetics clinic will also be operational every Wednesday, providing specialized care and support for staff members living with diabetes.

Staff members have lauded the Rector’s initiative, stating that it will enhance staff morale and promote a culture of wellness within the Polytechnic.
