
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has hosted the Kwara United Football Club following their historic emergence as the 2025 President Federation Cup champions.
The Governor also hosted the Under-19 category of the team who also won the inaugural National Youth League.
The Kwara United Club had beaten their Abakaliki FC counterparts in a match that was decided through penalty shootouts following a 90-minute play.

The team made a triumphant entry into Ilorin with residents of the capital city waving their long motorcade from Eiyenkorin down to the banquet hall in the downturn GRA where the reception was held.
While commending the team for making the state proud, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq announced five million naira cash reward and a plot of land at the exclusive Kwara Smart City for each of the player.

The Governor recalled his administration investment on the team and dedicated the trophy in memory of Alhaji Yusuf Salami who according to him spent his wealth to bring in the trophy to Kwara, but he could not succeed.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the team, Coach Magaji, Kumbi, and the entire management for their dedication to rewriting the story of the Football Club.
In their separate remarks, Coach Magaji and Kumbi Titiloye expressed appreciation to the Governor for hugely investing in the team to achieve greater success.
