The entire Nupe community in Oke-Ode, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, has extended heartfelt felicitations to His Royal Highness, Oba Mufutau Bayo Sha’aba, Ilufemiloye II, on his glorious ascension to the revered throne of Elesa of Oke-Ode.‎‎‎

In a statement signed by Wali of Lafiagi, Justice Adam Idris (Rtd) and issued on behalf of the community, the Nupe leaders described Oba Sha’aba’s emergence as a blessing to the people of Oke-Ode and the entire Ifelodun, noting that his assumption of the mantle of leadership as a 2nd-Class Monarch marks a new dawn for peace, unity, and sustainable development within the community and its neighbouring settlements.‎‎‎

The statement further prays that “the crown he wears continues to inspire countless hearts, and his wisdom steers the affairs of Oke-Ode through both calm and storm.”

The community also invoked divine blessings upon the monarch, his royal household, and the entire Kingdom of Elesa.‎‎‎

According to the Nupe community, Oba Sha’aba’s ascension is not just a ceremonial transition, but “a beacon of hope for the youth of Ifelodun, the hardworking farmers of Oke-Ode, and every son and daughter of Kwara, that looks to the throne with reverence and high expectation.”

‎‎‎Reaffirming their loyalty, the Nupe community pledged unwavering support to the monarch, expressing confidence in his ability to champion progress, uphold cultural heritage, and strengthen communal harmony.‎
