The Sarkin Malamai of Ilorin, Sheikh Yakub Imam Ali-Agan, has commended the leadership of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), led by its National President, Alhaji AbdulMumini Ayo Abdulmalik, over the ongoing construction of a Jumu’at Mosque at the Union’s National Secretariat in Gerin Alimi, Ilorin.
Sheikh Ali-Agan gave the commendation on Saturday during an inspection visit to the multi-million-naira mosque project.
The renowned cleric highlighted the significance and immense rewards attached to mosque construction in Islam, noting that Al-Jannah (Paradise) is the abode of those who build mosques or contribute towards their construction.
Describing the project as laudable, Sheikh Ali-Agan, a respected and prominent Islamic scholar, called on all sons and daughters of the Ilorin Emirate to support the Union to ensure the timely completion of the mosque.
He offered prayers for the success of the IEDPU National President, Alhaji AbdulMumini Ayo Abdulmalik, and his executive team, while also praying for sustained growth and development of the Union and the entire Ilorin Emirate.
Earlier in his remarks, the IEDPU President expressed gratitude to the senior cleric for the inspection visit to the ongoing central mosque project.
He appreciated all individuals and groups who have contributed so far and appealed for additional support to facilitate the speedy completion of the project.
