The Kaiama Development Association (KDA) has called on governments at all levels and relevant stakeholders to collaborate in tackling the root causes of insecurity across the country.
National President of the association, Mr. Yakub Salihu, made the call during a peaceful demonstration organised by concerned youths over the rising wave of insecurity in parts of Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The protest was staged to register grievances over recent attacks and to demand the immediate release of kidnapped victims from Woro community.

Mr. Salihu described the attacks in Woro, Nuku, and Kemanji communities as alarming and unacceptable, warning that the situation has instilled fear and uncertainty among residents.
He noted that the persistent attacks have left many communities on edge, with residents unsure of where the next incident may occur, and stressed the need for urgent and decisive intervention by the authorities.
The KDA President commended the peaceful conduct of the protesting youths and expressed solidarity with affected families.
He urged security agencies to intensify efforts to safeguard lives and property, as well as ensure the safe rescue of all abducted persons.
Mr. Salihu reaffirmed the association’s commitment to the safety, development, and overall well-being of Kaiama and neighbouring communities.
