97% Kwara Workers Received November Salary, Bonus.

Kwara State Government says Ninety-five point five per cent of its Eighteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty-six employees have been paid their November salary and bonus.

The government also said that 97% of the SUBEB teachers and employees have been paid their salary for the month, while the pending 3% are those without KWSRRA bonafides.

The State Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Hauwa Nuru explained that the workers that did not get their salary were those yet to register with the KWSRRA as had been directed by the government since July 2024, or those with other pending issues.

Dr Hauwa also noted that 77% of the State Local Government workforce has been paid, while the remaining 23% were those who have not complied with the KWSRRA requirements.

According to the Commissioner, these figures of the state, SUBEB, and local government areas contradict the claim that 75% or 45% of the workforce have not been paid.

Dr Hauwa Nuru, assure workers that the administration remains committed to prompt payment of their salary and welfare, as has been the hallmark of the government.

She appealed to the labour unions to fully support the transparency initiative which is meant to serve the interest of everyone in the State.
