
Nigerians have been urged to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan in the intervening months and be their brothers’ keepers, pray for peace and stability of the country.
Leader of the Kwara State Government delegation to this year Eid fitr celebration and Majority Leader of the StateHouse of Assembly, Mr Abdulkadir Oba Magaji made the call while addressing newsmen after the eid prayer at the Ilorin Central Praying Ground.
The delegation of the State Government joined the Muslim community to observe the prayers led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Solihu.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who usually leads the delegation, is away in Saudi Arabia to perform the Lesser Hajj.
Mr Abdulkadir Oba Magaji called for continued support of Nigerians for the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, saying that with their support, the President and the Governor would lead the country to a promising land.
The prayer was attended by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Council, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
In a remark, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari congratulated sons and daughters of the Emirate and the people of the state for the successful completion of fasting and a peaceful eld.
He prayed for the safe return of Governor AbdulRazaq from the holy land, and commended the administration’s giant strides and the commitment to peace.
