The Management of Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete, wishes to inform students and the public that measures have been taken to prevent further robbery attacks in Malete.
A statement signed by the Registrar of KWASU, Dr. Kikelomo Sallee, reveals that a joint patrol team comprising the Police, Civil Defence Corps, and community police has been deployed to ensure security in the community, and a stakeholders’ meeting will be held to find a lasting solution to the issue.
The statement advises all KWASU students to remain calm, avoid taking the law into their own hands, and go about their daily activities without fear, as security agents are already deployed across Malete.
