Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended security operatives in the state for their sacrifices and commitment to public safety.
Governor AbdulRazaq gave the commendation during a marathon security council meeting with heads of security agencies.
The security agencies include the Nigeria Police, Army, Navy, Air Force, State Security Service, NSCDC, Immigration Service, NDLEA, and officials from the office of the National Security Adviser.
The meeting which was also attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government and the Attorney General, reviewed ongoing security operations that led to multiple arrests, prosecutions, and recovery of arms from criminal elements.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq urged the operatives not to relent, stressing the need for citizens to support them with timely and actionable intelligence to ensure lasting peace and stability across Kwara State.
Earlier, the heads of security agencies, gave details of all the ongoing operations across the state, including the multiple arrests, prosecutions and intercepts of arms from hostile nonstate actors.
