Member representing Oke-Ero constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Bamigboye Joseph Olajire popularly known as (KUTI) has empowered constituents with empowerment programme worth over Fifteen Million Naira.

Hon. Joseph Olajire in an address at his First Face Empowerment Programme held at Oke-Ero Local Government Secretariat commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for the opportunity given to him to serve the good people of his local government.

The Lawmaker explained that the empowerment programme represented more than ordinary event as it symbolizes unity, strength and shared commitment to the growth of the state under the Governor.

He noted that the empowerment was also to encourage and strengthen youth skills acquisition program especially in agriculture sector as a strategic pathway to boosting economic growth and reducing unemployment in Oke-Ero Local Government.

Hon. Joseph Olajire also affirmed his believe in investing in youth capacity development through skill acquisition, saying that farm sector remains a sustainable strategy for economic transformation, social stability and reduction of poverty.

The Lawmaker added that since he assumed office in 2023, his journey had been guided by one mission which was to prioritize the welfare of his people by driving visible and impactive development across every ward in Oke-Ero.

In an address, member representing Ipaiye/Malete/Oloru constituency of Moro Local Government, Hon. Salihu Ayanshola Lawal commended Hon. Joseph Olajire for the initiatives and his love for his constituency.

Also in a remark, the Chairman of Oke-Ero Local Government Area, Hon. James Fadipe said the relative peace enjoy in the local government was as result of unity among residents and APC stakeholders and called for continuous peace.

In another message from the State APC Legal Adviser, Barrister Repheal Ashaolu advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment saying that such dividend of democracy have never happened in the local government in the past

Items distributed including provision of small business grants to about 100 youths and 100 elders, distribution of sewing machines, POS machines with cash at hand and provision of small business grants for the market women as well as old people.

Farm tools and Solar power lights were also distributed to respective constituents and communities in the local government.

Meanwhile, the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme commended Mr. Joseph Olajire for the support and promised to make judicious use of it as well as empower others.
