As Christians across the globe celebrate this year’s Christmas, the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, has called on the Christian community within the institution to embrace the true essence of the season by living out the values exemplified by Jesus Christ.

In a statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Halimat Garba, the Rector described Christmas as more than a festive celebration, stressing that it is a profound reminder of the birth of Jesus Christ, which embodies love, humility and hope.

According to him, the season serves as a call to extend kindness, generosity and compassion to others.

He noted that sharing—whether through time, resources or acts of kindness—reflects the true spirit of Christmas and strengthens bonds of unity and brotherhood among believers.

Engr. Abdul urged Christian staff to use the occasion to reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who came into the world to bring salvation and light to humanity.

He emphasized that emulating Christ’s virtues of selflessness, forgiveness and unwavering love is a clear demonstration of honouring the purpose of His birth and living out the message of Christmas.

While wishing the Christian community a blessed and meaningful Christmas celebration, the Rector reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of both staff and students of the institution.
