The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has described the Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, as a worthy ambassador of the Ilorin Emirate, expressing confidence in his integrity and leadership.
The Emir made the commendation when the Rector, accompanied by the Acting National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulrauf Babatunde Issa, and executives of the Balogun Gambari Ward Development Association, paid a courtesy visit to his palace to express appreciation following the Rector’s recent reinstatement by the Kwara State Government.
Welcoming the delegation, the Emir lauded Engr. Abdul for his exemplary conduct and commitment to public service, noting that he has consistently upheld the ethical and moral values for which his family is renowned.
The monarch expressed satisfaction that the Rector was cleared of any wrongdoing by the committee established by the state government, stressing that the development had further strengthened his confidence in him.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari noted that indigenes of Ilorin occupying positions of responsibility have continued to make the Emirate proud through their dedication and integrity, adding that Engr. Abdul’s performance has further enhanced the image of the Emirate.
The Emir also commended the progress recorded by Kwara State Polytechnic under the Rector’s leadership and assured him of his continued support and prayers for greater success in office.
Earlier, the Acting National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulrauf Babatunde Issa, thanked the Emir for his fatherly guidance and unwavering support for the people of Ilorin.
He particularly appreciated the monarch’s intervention and encouragement during the recent challenges involving the Polytechnic, describing his role as invaluable throughout the period.
The visit ended with special prayers led by Mallam Alaro for the Emir’s continued good health, long life, and a successful tenure for Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed as Rector of Kwara State Polytechnic.
