A coalition of Fulani socio-cultural organisations in Kwara State have endorsed the governorship aspiration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Salihu Yakubu Danladi, for the 2027 general election, while also passing a vote of confidence in Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over what they described as his inclusive style of governance.
The endorsement was announced at a gathering of Fulani stakeholders, including members of Miyetti Allah, Gam-Allāh, Jamu Naati Fulbe and other associations, where former Special Adviser on Civic Engagement and Strategy to the Governor, Hon. Abdulsalam Atiku, said the decision followed extensive consultations among the groups.
Hon. Atiku said the organisations were convinced that Danladi possesses the leadership capacity, experience and vision to sustain the developmental strides of the AbdulRazaq administration.
He expressed confidence that a Danladi administration would promote inclusive governance, strengthen security, improve nomadic education, empower pastoralists and farming communities, expand opportunities for women and youths, and foster peaceful coexistence across the state.
The former Special Adviser urged members of the Fulani community and other stakeholders to remain united and committed to the APC, expressing optimism that the party would secure another electoral victory in the 2027 governorship election.
In a separate goodwill message, the Fulbe Development and Cultural Organization (FUDECO), Kwara State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Hon. Saliu Umar Sanda, commended Governor AbdulRazaq for what it described as his commitment to equity, justice and inclusive governance.
The group lauded the governor for appointing qualified members of the Fulani community into key government positions and for implementing programmes in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment and rural development.
It also praised the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening the livestock sector in the state.
FUDECO reaffirmed its support for Governor AbdulRazaq, the APC and candidates of the party at all levels, while appealing for sustained government support through increased appointments, empowerment initiatives, educational opportunities and agricultural interventions aimed at improving the welfare of Fulani communities in Kwara State.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Kwara State Chapter, Alhaji Shehu Garba, reaffirmed the loyalty of the Fulani community to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the community remained committed to supporting the party’s programmes and policies at both the state and national levels.
Alhaji Garba urged members of the Fulani community to remain united, peaceful and law-abiding while continuing to support the APC and its candidates.
He expressed confidence that the party would record another successful outing in the 2027 general election through sustained grassroots mobilisation and collective commitment.
Also, speaking, the Ardo of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Hassan Yusuf Sale, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the emergence of the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Yakubu Danladi Salihu, as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
He described the development as a demonstration of confidence in the candidate’s leadership and capacity, assuring that Fulani communities in Baruten and across the state would mobilise support for the APC.
Alhaji Hassan Sale pledged the group’s commitment to working for the party’s success in the 2027 polls.
