The Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs(ACG) and Zonal Coordinator for Zone B, Mrs. Nsikan Umoh, has commended the leadership and personnel of the Nigeria Customs Service, Kwara Area Command, for their exemplary conduct, discipline, and dedication to duty.
ACG Umoh gave the commendation during an official oversight visit to the Command’s headquarters in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Speaking during the visit, the Zonal Coordinator disclosed that her headquarters has not received any adverse report against the Kwara Area Command since she assumed office.

She noted that the clean track record demonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to duty among the officers and men of the Command.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, ACG Umoh charged personnel to maintain responsible conduct both on and off duty.
She warned officers against involvement in illicit drugs and sharp practices, while urging them to uphold the core values of the Service and work together toward achieving its organizational goals.
As part of the working visit, ACG Umoh also held interactive sessions with key trade stakeholders, including freight forwarding associations, the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, and representatives of major excise factories such as ITC and SANICA.
She commended the robust relationship between the Command and the trading community while addressing key concerns related to cargo clearance procedures, examination timelines, and regional trade competitiveness.
