Members of the Butchers Association, Kwara South Senatorial District, have commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Ismail Yahaya Atoloye Alebiosu for their efforts towards the reopening of Ajase Kara Market.

The market was closed last Wednesday following security concerns, but has now been reopened after interventions by the state government, traditional authorities and other stakeholders.

In a statement, the Chairman of the butchers association, Kwara South, Alhaji Ishola Olokunkun, also appreciated the Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Alhaji AbdulRasheed Femi Yusuf, the Babaloja, the Iyaloja and other stakeholders for their positive interventions towards resolving the situation.

Alhaji Olokunkun appealed to butchers across Kwara State and other parts of the country to return to Ajase Kara Market, assuring them that the market is now open for normal business activities.

He also called on Fulani cattle breeders to resume bringing their animals to the market, urging them to continue patronising the facility for their regular business transactions.

The Chairman of the Butchers association, Alhaji Ishola Olokunkun prayed for increased patronage, successful sales and greater prosperity for all individuals involved in the market.

He, however, urged traders and stakeholders to sustain efforts towards maintaining peace and security in the area.
