Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has paid a get-well-soon visit to six soldiers injured during a recent counterterrorism operation in Kaiama.
The encounter, described as fierce, led to the elimination of many terrorists, while three soldiers died in the line of duty.
Governor AbdulRazaq announced a support package of twenty million naira for each of the fallen soldiers, and five million naira for each of those injured.
The Governor described their sacrifices as priceless as he appreciated the efforts of security personnel for their continued service to the nation.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces in the fight against insecurity.
Governor AbdulRazaq, however, commended the quality of care at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital.
