
Minimum Wage: Consequential Adjustment To Be Out Soon – Labour Minister
Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Dr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha says the consequential adjustment for the new National Minimum Wage for Workers will soon be out.
Dr Nkeiruka Onyejeocha stated this at a town hall meeting with organised labour and employers held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
She explained that the Federal Government was determined to come up with a template that would enable workers enjoy the new minimum wage.

The Minister of State noted that President Bola Tinubu’s Administration remained committed to tackling headlong all socio-economic ills bedeviling the country.
The Guest Speaker and lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Nasarawa state University, Prof George Ogenyi urged the Federal Government to leverage on local production of fuel for economic stability.
Prof Ogenyi implored the Government to stabilize the pump price of PMS and address youth unemployment.
According to him, unemployment rate was at 4.1% as released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS, 2023) which is considered as very high.
He stated that the eight point agenda of President Bola Tinubu represent a comprehensive blueprint to national growth and development.
The Organized labour and other stakeholders called on the Government at all levels to prioritize the welfare of Nigerian workers.
