Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has inaugurated a seven-member intervention committee to coordinate support for survivors and families affected by the recent terrorist attack in Woro, Kaiama Local Government Area.

Speaking at the inauguration in Ilorin, Governor Abdulrazaq said the committee is mandated to engage directly with affected families, community leaders, and residents to identify their most urgent needs, including medical care, rehabilitation, livelihood restoration, infrastructure rebuilding, and psychosocial support.

He condemned the February 3 attack, describing it as a senseless act that claimed no fewer than 75 lives and left many homes and families devastated.

The Governor assured the people that the state government would pursue justice for the victims and intensify security measures across Kwara State.

Governor Abdulrazaq noted that the state is already working closely with federal authorities and security agencies to prevent a recurrence of such attacks, stressing that Kwara would not bow to fear or intimidation.

He added that the committee is expected to serve as a bridge between the government and the people, ensuring that all interventions are community-driven, transparent, and effective.

Chairman of the committee and Kiwozi of Kugiji, Alhaji Ahmed Ibn Muhammad, pledged that they would work diligently to reach the affected communities and address their needs.
