The Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has presented its Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, nomination form to the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi.
Presenting the form in Ilorin, the State Chairman of the party, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, said the exercise followed the ratification of Danladi’s victory at the party’s governorship primary by the APC National Working Committee after concluding the appeals process.
Prince Fagbemi explained that the presentation enables the party’s candidate to complete the necessary documentation for submission to INEC, in line with the electoral timetable.
Receiving the nomination form, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the national and state leadership of the APC for the confidence reposed in him to fly the party’s flag in the 2027 governorship election.
The APC governorship candidate also appreciated his fellow aspirants for their participation in the primary election, assuring them of an inclusive leadership and ongoing reconciliation efforts to strengthen party unity.
The ceremony was attended by party elders, lawmakers, cabinet members, women groups, party executives, stakeholders, and supporters who expressed confidence in the party’s preparations for the 2027 general election.
