The All Progressives Congress, APC in Kwara Central Senatorial District, has reaffirmed its loyalty and support to Governor Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razak and the APC governorship candidate, Engr Salihu Yakubu Danladi.
The APC Chairman, Gambari Ward 2, Alhaji Baba Gobir Abdullahi, stated this during a press conference held in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Speaking on behalf of all 51 Ward Chairmen of the APC in Kwara Central, Baba Gobir described the defection of some political individuals and groups as irrelevant to the party’s stability, emphasising that the ward chairmen are the “engine room” of the APC who were directly responsible for grassroots mobilisation and voter engagement.
He expressed the unanimous vote of confidence of the party in Governor Abdul-Razak’s exemplary leadership, which he said has moved Kwara from an era of consumption to an era of investment, infrastructure, and inclusion.
While pledging commitment to ensuring overwhelming victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 General Elections, Baba Gobir urged the people of Kwara Central not to be distracted by the “political tourism” of individuals who prioritize personal comfort over collective progress.
Earlier, the Councilor representing Gambari Ward 1 in Ilorin East Local Government Area, Mallam Ibrahim Salah, commended Governor Abdul-Razak for raising the bar of good governance in the State.
He also pledged continued support and mobilisation for policies that will bring further development to communities in the state.
Harmony FM reports that the conference, organised under the aegis of the Gambari People’s Movement, was well attended by APC faithful from all the 51 wards that make up Kwara Central Senatorial District.
