Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mashood Mustapha, the Wakili of Ilorin Emirate, as the Ameerul Hajj for the state’s 2027 Muslim pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola.
Alhaji Mashood Mustapha, popularly known as MM, is an entrepreneur, public servant and community leader.
He is the Chairman of Crystal Group of Companies and a former cabinet member of the Kwara State Government.
Mustapha also represented Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 2011 and 2015.
He is an alumnus of Kwara State Polytechnic, Lagos State University and Rome Business School in Italy.
As Ameerul Hajj, Alhaji Mashood Mustapha will coordinate Kwara State’s 2027 Hajj operations in collaboration with relevant statutory bodies and government authorities at various levels.
