The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has congratulated a distinguished son of the Emirate, Dr. Isiaka Alada Yahaya, on his inauguration as a Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC).
Dr. Alada, a retired Director of the Commission, was among the newly appointed Federal Commissioners inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, the IEDPU described the appointment as well deserved and urged Dr. Alada to uphold the integrity, diligence, and humility for which he is widely known while discharging his new responsibilities.
Similarly, the Pakata Patriots Ilorin (PPI) joined other stakeholders in congratulating Dr. Alada on his inauguration.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Abubakar Imam, the group expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for appointing a seasoned demographic expert to the sensitive national assignment.
Both organisations prayed for a successful, peaceful, and impactful tenure for Dr. Alada, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience would contribute significantly to the advancement of the National Population Commission and national development.
