The Kwara State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly facilitating the kidnapping of three persons at Ogele Fulani Camp, via Igbaja, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects, identified as Sauni Shehu and Auwalu Bala, are under investigation for alleged criminal conspiracy, aiding and abetting kidnapping, as well as kidnapping.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi.

According to the statement, the arrests followed discreet intelligence-led investigations that linked the suspects to the abduction of the three victims.

The Command added that the suspects are providing useful information to investigators to facilitate the identification and arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, said the arrests underscore the Command’s determination to dismantle criminal networks through intelligence-driven policing and ensure that kidnappers and their collaborators are brought to justice.

He appealed to residents of Kwara State to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible information, stressing that public cooperation remains vital to ongoing efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent crimes across the state.
