Released Woro abductees have arrived in Ilorin, Kwara State, following their rescue from captivity.
The victims, who were abducted during the deadly attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of the state, arrived in Ilorin late Thursday night after being rescued from a forest in Niger State.
They were received at the Nigerian Army 2 Division, Sobi Barracks, Ilorin, before being moved to an undisclosed location where they spent the night.
The victims are expected to be officially handed over to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as authorities continue to verify the number of those rescued and provide them with necessary medical and psychosocial support.
Their arrival follows sustained military operations and coordinated efforts by security agencies to secure their release after several months in captivity.
