LG Polls: APC Clears Chairmanship, Councillorship Position In Kaiama
Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Saturday’s Local Government Election in Kwara State have been declared winners in Kaiama Local Government.
Declaring the results from each wards of the Local Government at the early hours of today, the Returning Officer for Kaiama, Comrade Umar Usman Abdullahi noted that all the collating officers had filed their results.

While giving the breakdown of the results, Comrade Umar Abdullahi explained that candidates of the APC win the chairmanship seat and the ten wards councillorship seats.

According to him, the Chairmanship candidate for APC polled 23,029 votes, PDP 5,383 while APM got 59 votes.
He commended the political parties, and the electorates for their commitment to peaceful electoral process.
The Returning Officer also thanked law enforcement agencies for maintaining law and order, and the media for adequate and professional coverage.
In a remark, shortly after the announcement of the election results, the newly elected Chairman of Kaiama Local Government, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi dedicated his victory to the APC and the entire people of Kaiama.

Alhaji Abubakar Danladi pledged to deliver the mandate given to him and called for support from both the contenders and the people for meaningful development of the local government.
