The Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, in collaboration with Strategic Global Concept has successfully organized a two-day training programme which focused on Public Service Ethics, Discipline and Academic Confidentiality for its non-teaching staff to enhance professional standards and integrity within the institution.
Rector, Engr. Dr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed who was represented by the Deputy Rector, Administration, Dr. Felicia Awolola, encouraged participants to incorporate the insights gained from the training into their daily activities within and outside the institution.
The Rector who emphasized the importance of being proactive and driving positive change within the academic community urged the participants to always maintain a high level of confidentiality in the discharge of their duties.
Delivering a keynote address, the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Abdulhafis Amin underscored the significance of ethics and discipline as the twin pillars supporting public institutions.
He urged all participants to uphold these values in their workplaces, highlighting that a strong commitment to ethics and discipline not only fosters a conducive work environment but also enhances the overall reputation of the institution.
The training sessions, which included an interactive workshop and discussions led by seasoned scholars and industry experts, provided attendees with tools and strategies to navigate the challenges of maintaining ethics and confidentiality in their daily tasks.
Participants expressed optimism about implementing the lessons learned, with many noting that the training has reignited their motivation to serve the institution with greater dedication and integrity.
