Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has dissociated himself from any form of birthday celebration organised on his behalf, describing such activities as inconsistent with his personal choice.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor clarified that he does not mark his birthday with fanfare or public ceremonies, but spends the day like every other day of his life.
According to the statement, the governor has maintained this stance since assuming office in 2019 and has not authorised any individual or group to organise celebrations in his honour.
While expressing gratitude to God for the gift of life, good health and other blessings, the statement emphasised that the governor prefers to keep his birthday low-key and free from public display.
Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard any activities or announcements suggesting official birthday celebrations on behalf of the governor.
