Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has commended the spate of work at the ongoing Ibrahim Sulu Gambari Skills Acquisition Centre, Geri Alimi, Ilorin.

The building is a flagship project of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the people of Ilorin Emirate.

Mallam AbdulRazaq, who spoke through his Counselor and Special Advisor, Alhaji Saadu Salaudeen, gave the commendation while being conducted round the facility by the IEDPU President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik and the Chairman of the Project Committee, Engr Shuaib Dare Alao.

Mallam AbdulRazaq, who is also the Sardauna of Ilorin and Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum, expressed profound satisfaction with the progress of work at the site as he assured the Union of more support.

The Chairman of the Project Committee, Engr Shuaib Dare Alao, briefed the Governor and his entourage on the progress of the project, saying that it is 80% completed.

While speaking, the IEDPU President, Alhaji Abdulmalik, thanked the Governor, who had earlier been represented by Alhaji Salaudeen at the presentation of cheques of NECO registration fees to 345 students from allover Ilorin Emirate at the IEDPU Secretariat, for his consistent support to the Union before and since his assumption of office.

The President assured the Governor and the people of Ilorin Emirate of the completion of the project very soon.

On the entourage of the Governor were the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Muhammad Lawal Olohungbebe; the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jaji.

Others are the Chairman of the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Alhaji Abdulateef Alakawa and a former Commissioner for Special Duties in Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Lawal as well as an elder statesman, Alhaji Kunle Sulyman, among others.
