Bandits who abducted the Ojibara of Bayagan in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Kamilu Salami, have demanded ₦150 million for his release.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the kidnappers contacted the community early this morning, allowing the monarch to speak briefly to confirm he was in their custody.
He pleaded with the community to negotiate with the abductors to secure his freedom.
The monarch also disclosed that several other persons were kidnapped from a neighbouring community as he was being taken away.
Alhaji Salami was abducted around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday when armed bandits stormed his farm with AK-47 rifles.
