
Kwara Communities Urged To Take Ownership Of Projects, Protect Them Jealously
The people of Ipetu- Igbomina in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have been urged to take ownership of projects in their communities and protect them against vandalization.
The State Project Coordinator, Kwara Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL), Alhaji Shamsideen Aregbe gave the advice during an awareness campaign to the community.
The Project Coordinator represented by the Project Engineer, Hussein Sadiq, explained that the mission was to educate and enlighten the community members on the implementation of projects in targeted benefiting Communities in the State.
Alhaji Shamsideen Aregbe described the exercise as a developmental mission, intended to revitalize agriculture, mitigate the effect of climate change and improve communal livelihood.
He said the initiative would also enlighten the people on the benefits of the project to their socio-economic wellbeing.
The paramount ruler of Ipetu-Igbomina, Oba Samuel Olabanji Olanrewaju Erinfolami, expressed delight over the state government efforts in considering his community worthy of hosting such an important project.
