The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, Mr Adekimi Ojo together with members of the management team have paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP ADETOUN EJIRE-ADEYEMI said the visit was to formally introduce himself following his recent assumption on duty in the State, and to extend warm birthday felicitations to the revered monarch.

CP Adekimi Ojo, who previously served as Deputy Commissioner in the Command, acknowledged the Emir’s longstanding spiritual and moral support for the Nigeria Police, noting its vital role in enabling effective policing over the years.

The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed his commitment to delivering professional and accountable policing services across the State.

He emphasized that his familiarity with the Command’s operational structure and security challenges will guide his strategic approach to law enforcement and community engagement.

In a remark, the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, welcomed the Commissioner and assured him of his continuous support in maintaining law and order.

Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari encouraged the Police to uphold justice without fear or favour, and pledged to advocate for institutional support to strengthen the Command’s operational capabilities.

The Emir offered prayers for CP Adekimi Ojo’s success, divine protection, and career advancement during his tour of duty in Kwara State.
