
A University don, Professor Lateef Oladimeji has enjoined Muslims to see the just concluded Ramadan fast as another opportunity for them to rededicate their lives to the closeness of Allah and service to humanity.
Prof Lateef Oladimeji gave the advice yesterday during the Eid prayer sermon at Oko Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Professor Oladimeji, who is also the Mufti of Oko Ode observed that Muslims during the month of Ramadan engaged in numerous religious activities including Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers, giving and sharing to the less privileged, joint IFTAR and regular attendance of Tafsir sessions.
He called on Muslims to continue these virtuous activities even after Ramadan to demonstrate that the holy month has impacted positively in their lives.
According to him, Ramadan teaches love, sacrifice, tolerance and good manners, hence Muslims to uphold these teachings after the holy month.

Professor Lateef Oladimeji prayed for continued peace and tranquility for the community, Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole.
The Idul- fitri prayer was attended by the Royal Father of the community, Olodu of Oko Ode, prominent indigenous of the community including the Provost of College of Nursing Science, Alhaji Lamidi Quadri, Muslim youth and Muslims from neighborhood communities.
