IEDPU Imam Advises Muslims To Expose Criminals
Muslims have advised to always expose bad acts in their neighbourhood in order to promote social peace and sanity.
Deputy Imam of the IEDPU Jumaat Mosque, Ilorin, Shaykh Ibrahim Erubu, gave the advice while delivering sermon at the Mosque located at Geri Alimi, Ilorin on Friday.
Shaykh Erubu explained that it is important for Muslims to always raise their voices whenever they observe any misdeed.
Probably drawing inspiration from the recent ritual Killing uncovered in Ilorin, the cleric noted that one of the best ways citizens can participate in community and national development is to cultivate the habit of speaking out against social misbehaviour and decadence while encouraging positive attitudes.
Shaykh Erubu, who later led a two-rakat prayers, advised Muslim preachers to devote their energy and intellectual resources to promotion of good deeds among their listeners and followers.
The Jumaat prayers attracted dignitaries from far and near including the Director, Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ibrahim Jawondo, Nurudeen Ibrahim, IEDPU National Publicity Secretary and some members of the Union’s National Executive Council.
