
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Inaugurates ICT Centre, KWASUTH ICU
Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu says her Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, under its Education Programme in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, will build an Alternative High School for Girls in Kwara State.
This, according to the first lady, will provide another opportunity to access education for girls and women who dropped out of school due to early pregnancies, child marriages and other socio-economic reasons.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu stated this while inaugurating the RHI Community ICT Centre built in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, at the Kwara State University of Education premises Ilorin.
She said that the centre named AMINA NDALOLO COMMUNITY ICT CENTRE is second to be inaugurated out of those constructed across the country with the aim of bridging digital gap across the nation.

The first lady acknowledged that the initiative was in line with the priority area of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to accelerate economic diversification through industrialisation and digitalisation.
She urged members of the community to take ownership of the centre and utilize it at their advantage as success of the centre depends on their active participation and utilization.
Also, Senator Oluremi Tinubu announced that the Renewed Hope Initiative under its Economic Empowerment scope would support another set of One Thousand women petty traders in Kwara State with the total of Fifty Million Naira grand to recapitalize their existing businesses.
She added that Kwara State has been nominated to benefit from the construction of a model Early Childhood Care Development Education Centre while women and young farmers in the state would also benefit from the Sixty-eight point nine million naira RHI Agriculture Programme.

In an address, wife of the Kwara State Governor, Ambassador Olufolake AbdulRazaq commended the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady and the National Information Technology Development Agency for the laudable initiative that would not only equip women and youths with the demand digital skills but also best positions them for the opportunities that are abound in the Nigerian and global digital space.
Ambassador AbdulRazaq explained that the milestone would continue to up the status of women, youths and other users of the facility as well as create pathways into making Nigeria a digitally empowered Nation and fostering a technology enabled equitable future for all Nigerians.
Similarly, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has officially opened the Ultramodern Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Dr. Amuda Aliko VIP Ward at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH) Ilorin.

This was part of the activities lineup for the First Lady three days working visit to Kwara State.
At the inauguration were the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, his wife, Ambassador Olufolake, members of the State Executive Council as well as some dignitaries from other states.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam, said the Ultramodern ward facility will take care of both men and women, young and aged alike.
She explained that the facilities comprises 19 rooms in all including double and single rooms.
Dr Amina El-Iman gave the assurance that the facility would be affordable as Kwara State Government always put the least privileged ones in consideration.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu also paid homage to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Zulu Gambari at his palace where she received Royal blessing.
