The Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN North Central Zone, Barrister Babayo Askira, has reaffirmed his commitment to the continuous training and retraining of staff for improved performance and effective service delivery.
Barrister Askira gave the assurance during a staff forum as part of his familiarization visit to Radio Nigeria – Harmony FM, Idofian, Kwara State.
He charged the staff to remain dedicated, disciplined, and punctual in the discharge of their duties, noting that professionalism and commitment are key to sustaining the Corporation’s mandate.
The Zonal Director also stressed the need to boost the station’s Internally Generated Revenue, IGR, while assuring staff of the Director-General, Dr. Mohammed Bulama’s readiness to upgrade facilities for efficient broadcast operations.
On employment, Barrister Askira promised that casual workers would be given consideration when recruitment opportunities arise.
Earlier, the General Manager of Radio Nigeria – Harmony FM, Hajia Binta Abubakar Mora, appreciated the Zonal Director for the visit and outlined some of the Station’s challenges, particularly the need for the replacement of obsolete facilities.
Hajia Mora pledged the unwavering commitment of Harmony FM staff to quality broadcasting that uplifts the people and unites the nation.
The Zonal Director was accompanied by the Head of Finance and Accounts, North Central Zone, Mr. Joshua Akintunde.
