Gov Abdulrazaq Appoints Prof. Folorunsho Salman As Ag Vice Chancellor
Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed Prof. Medinat Folorunsho Salman as the pioneer Acting Vice Chancellor of the newly established Kwara State University of Education (KWSUED) Ilorin.
A professor of mathematics education, she was until the appointment a lecturer at the department of science education and coordinator of the Educational Technology Centre at the University of Ilorin.
Prof. Folorunsho Salman had her Bachelor of Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1985; a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education at the University of Ilorin in 1990; and a doctoral degree in Mathematics Education from University of Ilorin in 1998.
Her research interests are Mathematics Education, gender issues in mathematics and science education, and innovation in mathematics education in the developing world.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, the appointment is with immediate effect.
