Gov. AbdulRazaq Commends Kwara United On Victory Over Kano Pillars

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has applauded the players of Kwara United for their impressive performance following their 2-0 victory against Kano Pillars at George Innih stadium, Ilorin.

Speaking after the match, Governor AbdulRazaq highlighted the importance of sports and praised the team’s resilience, especially as they competed while fasting during Ramadan.

According to the Governor, sports is very important and acknowledged the performance of the players despite their fasting.

He urged the team to maintain top performance and push for continental qualification.

With the win, Kwara United now sit 11th on the NPFL table with 39 and will play against Rangers in Enugu next weekend.

Despite Kano Pillars’ 2-0 away defeat to Kwara United at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, on matchday 28 of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), Super Eagles captain and Kano Pillars winger, Ahmed Musa, received widespread praise from football fans in Ilorin.

Musa showcased his vast experience and skills throughout the match and was cheered by spectators each time he touched the ball.

His presence on the pitch added excitement to the game, as fans expressed admiration for his contributions to Nigerian football over the years.

Though Kwara United secured a comfortable victory, Musa’s performance remained a major talking point, with many fans applauding his commitment and leadership.

Kwara United capitalized on their attacking prowess to claim all three points, while Kano Pillars will aim to bounce back in their subsequent fixtures.
