Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a forest guard, Mr. Omotosho Olawuyi Samuel, who was killed during a brave encounter with suspected kidnappers in Koro community of Ekiti Local Government Area.

Governor AbdulRazaq, in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, described the late operative as a gallant patriot who paid the supreme price in the course of protecting his community and the state from criminal elements.

He commended the courage and commitment of the forest guards and local vigilantes who confronted the fleeing kidnappers, noting that their bravery reflects the collective resolve to end banditry in the state.

As a mark of appreciation for the fallen officer’s sacrifice, the Governor announced a financial support of ten million naira for his family, describing Mr. Samuel as a hero in the people’s fight against insecurity.

He also commiserated with the family of the deceased and his colleagues who fought alongside him, praying that God grants them strength and comfort.
