Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has presented cheques worth eighty million naira to families of forest guards and vigilantes who lost their lives during encounters with kidnappers in Babanla, Oke Ode, and Eleyin areas of Ifelodun and Isin Local Government Areas.
Presenting the cheques in Ilorin, Governor AbdulRazaq also announced an additional one hundred million naira support for families of those killed from Edu and Patigi local government areas while confronting kidnappers.

He commended their courage and patriotism, describing their deaths as a great sacrifice in the line of duty, and assured that government would continue to support their families.
The Governor pledged to sustain collaboration with security agencies to keep the state safe, adding that the Nigerian Army has intensified operations against criminal elements.
He also revealed that the state government has provided new logistics support, including motorcycles and combat equipment, to strengthen the capacity of forest guards and vigilantes in flashpoint communities.

Present at the event were government officials, including Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa, Senior Special Assistant on Security, Alhaji Muyideen Aliyu, and local government chairmen.
The families commended Governor AbdulRazaq’s compassionate gesture and unwavering commitment to restoring peace and security across the state.
