The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has warmly welcomed the Emir of Ilorin and Life Patron of the Union, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, following his return from a two-month annual vacation in Turkey.
The National President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Mallam Suleiman Shuaib Dagbo, described the Emir’s return on Friday as a pleasant development.
He noted that the people of the Emirate are delighted and optimistic that the monarch has returned rejuvenated for continued service to the peace, unity, and progress of the Emirate and the nation.
Alhaji Abdulmalik praised the Emir as a rare blessing, adding that his reign represents a watershed in the history of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large.
The community leader, a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to supporting the Emir in his vision of leaving the Emirate better than he met it.
He also prayed for the monarch’s long life, sound health, and continued impactful reign on the throne of his forebears.
